The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is expected to offer two available engine options: gasoline and PHEV powertrains. The gasoline option is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder capable of 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The PHEV option is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors. It produces 248 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The PHEV option comes with standard all-wheel drive. The PHEV option is expected to have an electric range of up to 38 miles on a single charge. Front-wheel drive is standard for the gas engine, but all-wheel drive is available.
On the outside, the Outlander boasts a bold and sporty design with split headlights, a roof spoiler, wraparound taillights, and a dual exhaust outlet that is built into the rear bumper. The inside of the vehicle comes with a tiered dashboard, horizontal air vents, and three rows of available seating with room for up to seven passengers.
Standard features will include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six audio speakers, satellite radio capabilities, and an 8-inch touchscreen digital infotainment display. Optional features include a larger 9-inch infotainment display, a 10-speaker stereo system from Bose, wireless charging capabilities, and built-in navigation. Standard safety technology includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, driver attention monitors, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alerts, blind spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors.
